The Ministry's Office in the Eastern Province celebrates the National Sports Day

The Ministry of Sports in the Eastern Region organized the "Sport Hour" event on the occasion of the National Sports Day in the administrative building of the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah. The event included many sports activities aimed at making sports a lifestyle for the community members and educating them about the health and moral benefits of sport. The event was attended by a large number of employees and athletes, led by Abdul Aziz Ahmed Buhindi, Director of the Ministry's Eastern Region Office, who approved the allocation of 45 minutes per week during which the employees exercise in the gymnasium in the compound. He stressed that the National Sports Day comes at the kind invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in a clear message under the theme “UAE brings us together” pointing out that the National Day is a landmark event that enhances the culture of community sports and reflects the value of sport and health and the dissemination of its culture in our societies to preserve the future of our generations. The office also organized a sport event in cooperation with Al Diyar International school with the participation of 1600 students. The celebration included many sports competitions and entertainment shows such as gymnastics, rope-tingling, relay and running, as well as a fitness show. At the end of the ceremony Amani Al Ali, representative of the Ministry of Sports in the Eastern Province, honored the sport staff and strategic partners for their contribution in the success of the event and the distribution of prizes to the participants.
